I feel like I’ve been waiting for Conor and Star’s book for my whole entire life. Lemme tell ya, it did not disappoint. I loved every second of part one in their story. Star and Conor both carry so much trauma and pain, so to finally get see them supporting AND LOVING each other through all that shit?

Holy Crap! Knowing what I know, this book just made me scream! I am not sure that I was ready for Lodestar and Connor, but damn that was good. If you do not like major cliffys then I suggest waiting for Filthy Truth and getting them at the same time. This book was long, but so worth the time it took to read!!
4 and 1/2 Stars
I've read a number of Serena Akeroyd books at this point, but since the beginning I've been waiting for Star and Conor's story. Since I was first introduced to her in I don't know what book I was just like ohh this chick is awesome, she's going to have a great story to tell in so many different ways. I mean a genius hacker that is also an assassin? I mean that's going to be an interesting story no matter what. And when I was introduced to Conor I was like this is going to be even better, because it was obvious how much Conor cared about her, like right away.
Prior to Filthy Lies my favorite books of Serena's was her duet Rex and Rachel, but now that might have to be my second favorite because I have thoroughly been blown out of the water by Conor and Star. And since I finished it I am dying to read book two in the duet, Filthy Truth. Cause I know it's going to be good.
Despite the fact that this is a dark romance I found it to be a lighter dark romance. There were definitely dark aspects and themes, childhood abu$e, SA and more, but when it came to the romance between Conor and Star it was very loving.
My one complaint about this book is that in many of Serena's books she will have sections of text message exchanges and other media posts like newspaper articles, and I just felt for this book there were too many. And for me it's because for whatever reason I don't have the patience to read something in that format. So for me I just felt it was too much.

Wow!
Words can’t describe this book adequately. Its absolutely amazing how Serena’s universe with the Feckers, the Sinners, and the Valentini are able to stand alone but are amazing read in order. This book is bittersweet as it’s the next to the last in this universe with Star’s being the last (as of now

This duet MIGHT just end up being my favorite about my potentially favorite couple! I have been dying for this duet foreverrrr. I knew Conor and Star were going to be SO great. I really did. Conor is everything I knew he’d be. Star surprised me but in the very best way. She is perfect for Conor and he is absolutely perfect for her! Them FINALLY meeting was *sigh*. Even though Conor wasn’t super happy with Star when he eventually got to see her in person for the very first time. He made the meeting perfect. But because of the circumstances of their first meeting, they are in a cluster. The conspiracies, the betrayals, the questions never ever stop. I’m ready for them to be out of this mess so they can have their happily ever after together! I’m obsessed with this series, y’all. So ready for Filthy Truths!
