Para empezar adoró la narrativa es simplemente agradable la forma en que se maneja el género de fantasía sub-realista y el cómo se ahonda con respecto a los dioses, demonios y dragones. Me encanta que todo el libro se sintió como un cuento místico e increíble. Es un mundo bello y minuciosamente construido, me encanta que el autor se haya inspirado del folclore japonés y le haya dado su toque. Muchas veces sentí que estaba leyendo algo que es típico de las películas de Studio Ghibli, tiene esa magia y drama que ame totalmente

DNF, I can read ya if I am not bored by the writing. This was just not it for me.
4.75 stars! If you liked this book, you might like/you may like this book if you enjoyed... The Goose Girl and Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale, and Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George. RTC IF I remember when I get home from schol.

It was a decent book, I enjoyed reading it but I don’t feel particularly compelled to finish the series. A large amount of the plot twists were predictable and the romance, although nice, didn’t really add much for me - it felt like a love triangle was being set up but one of the characters wasn’t present for long enough to really explore it.
The relationship between the siblings was sweet, though sometimes the brothers felt rather two dimensional and it would’ve been nice if they were more involved in the story - the same is true of most characters.
That being said, it was a reasonably enjoyable book and I think I would’ve preferred it if I’d read it at a slightly younger age - maybe around 14-15.
