This is a brutal dystopian world now overrun with (humanoid) aliens.

Check your CWs before going into this one. It’s very violent but was absolutely gripping.

I loved it. Not something I would read every day…But I will definitely continue the series once they are available on audio.

I loved the narration & the world the author created. She’s spicy but it is a book with plot & spice. Overall if you like your books dark this book is a good one

Woah, what a ride! Elizabeth Stephens has definitely become one of my favorite authors! Lord of Population is the First of 3 books in the population series. The story is set in a dark post apocalyptic type universe, called population. Conditions are difficult and mercy is limited.

The story follows the FMC, Abel and as she navigates across this universe accompanied by an alien named, Kane. Kane is not your typical alien but he can’t resist the allure of Abel and they soon develop a steamy connection.

I listened to the audiobook of this and give 3 thumbs 👍🏾 up to the narration! Highly recommend. The narrator did an excellent job invoking the emotions and mood of the story. This was a highly emotional experience and a prime example of a ToP- tier narration experience.

People giving this book low ratings are insane and in their feelings way too much! The quality of the writing itself warrants this book a minimum of 4 stars. The world building was so well done! There are several difficult scenes featured throughout this book including scenes of physical and sexual assault. If you are a sensitive reader, check your triggers, you have been warned! Expect dark themes when you read books labeled as DARK romance!⚠️

I am newish to sci- fi, and am mainly a romance reader. The fact that this storyline hooked me in, is a testament to the advanced caliber of writing exhibited by Elizabeth Stephens. The dark and erie tone created by the descriptive settings and circumstances set the stage immediately and I felt fully immersed into this universe. I want to also say that Abel is my favorite character and is such a bad***! She is a beautiful combination of grit and vulnerability and her persistence remains a consistent trait throughout.

I can’t wait to continue the series!
