I loved the different perspective this story has. I fell in love with Cassian, and truly felt Nessa's story. Friendship, war, romance, family hardships... it had everything.
Nesta is not Feyre and that’s ok.
I didn’t enjoy this as much as the others and not because of the spotlight changing characters. It’s quite a feat to turn a character you’ve tolerated or been told so many times is a terrible sister to then detailing her story and changing your point of view that she’s not actually that bad underneath it all.
What I didn’t enjoy so much about this book was the smut. Honestly like a bit of smut in books but I thought this was a bit too much when the story could have progressed more. As by the end of the book there are still so many questions left unanswered which is clearly where the series will take it’s next direction. But please give us more action (not the naked kind) and get on with it.
Also didn’t like the lack of the other characters not being around, Mor specifically as she’s cool as anything. The excuses made to keep Rhys and Feyre out of it but still integral to the story just seemed to puzzle me at times. I thought this was Nesta and Cassian’s centre stage moment?
I feel like I’m bashing this book when I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and didn’t hate it at all. Just in my opinion I didn’t think this was the authors best work.
And the introduction of Gwyn and Emerie just stole my heart. Hope they stay in the series going forward. Totally here for it!
Still excited to see what happens next and hope Nesta continues to take centre stage as the series goes into its next phase of the story.
Keep up the amazing work Sarah J Maas. Always and forever a loyal reader.

NESTA. My first reread and wow I have fallen in love with Nesta. Omg. Idk how I didn’t appreciate her as much my first read, but the way her story is written in this is so heartwrenching and beautiful and traumatic and devastating and REAL. Sooo raw and real, I am sobbing for her.
Cassian is everything we all want and more - the perfect compliment to Nesta’s icy rage. Wow I adore this book. 10/10 recommend a reread, especially if it wasn’t your jam the first time around.

4.5 stars!
Idk why this took me so much longer to get into. I was excited for Nesta and Cassian’s story and thoroughly did end up enjoying it but Nesta pissed me off sm through out the entire book. She gave me so much whiplash. One second I’m crying and feeling for her sm and then the next I’m screaming at her like why the fuck would you say this shit lol but all in all great end to the story.
I’m a little confused since I always see people saying it’s not actually completely but when would the next one even come out?? I am really curious about Azriel and Elaine though I feel like that would be such a good story.
Can’t give this a 5 star since it def wasn’t a 5 star feeling when I finished but it’s satisfying!

Read #2: I love Cassian. That sweet giant bear of a male.
