I always look forward to listening to a Pippa story. Bonus this was co-narrated by two of my favorites: Savannah and Wen.
They all are super talented. I love how they easily bring the story alive like I am watching tv show or movie. Wen did an incredible job with voicing Max. They had a playful vibe to the way they narrated the story. This may be my all time favorite out all of Pippa's collection. Always fun to see more of Cooper..Best way to spend my day at work.. enjoying the journey of TJ Tilly Jean and Max.

I love this book. It’s my go to book when I need a feel good, laugh out loud kinda book. The characters have an authentic feel to them, like they could be real people with real issues they have to work thru.

I am sorry to say I can not feel the grumpy radiating from this book. The Grumpy Player Next Door is not for me.

I got lost in the push and pull. Miss Grant putting way too much of everything in this book. I got bored. Really bored. I am not patient person to wait for what is actually behind Max refusal for expressing his attraction to Tilly.

I just give up.

Omg. This book was amazing! Pippa Grant always writes the perfect balance of laugh out loud funny and scorching love books! And enemies to lovers is definitely one of my favorite tropes!!!

It should go without saying by now that any book by Pippa is going to be a crazy, swoony adventure. Especially in Shipwreck. Tillie Jean is my hero. She pulls the best pranks, fixes her own roof, and loves fiercely. Max is more teddy bear than growly bear. I love the bromance between him and Cooper. And the way this book deals with his anxiety. Max faces real struggles, so it makes it all the better to see him experience real love as well. The love story between Max and TJ is a very slow burn, which is frustrating, but also incredibly satisfying. Plus, the story is so amazing that I enjoyed being along for the ride. And now that there’s a cover I need a reread already because HOLY HOTNESS my imagination did not do Max Cole justice.

“Who would you be if you weren’t afraid of who you think you are?”

Tillie Jean has been flirting with Max for the last four years to get under his and her brother Cooper’s skin. Max moves into the house next to Tillie Jean for the off-season and when a prank goes horribly wrong things heat up between Max and Tillie Jean. The prank war heats up, Tillie Jean makes it her mission to get her grumpy bear next door to have some fun, and Max is determined not to ruin his friendship with Cooper. Tillie Jean’s Siren song might just be too hard for Max to resist any longer.

I’m wired to think Max Cole is hotter than a bacon grease fire.

I was super excited to be returning to the Fireballs and Shipwreck. I love this town and everything about it. I could totally see myself living there. Max and Tillie Jean have some awesome, glittery tension that made this slow-burn so worth the wait for them to come together. There were the fun small town shenanigans that we always enjoy when visiting Shipwreck with all the usual suspects like Long Beak Silver, Sue the goat and the entire Rock family. I can not wait for Cooper’s book.

She’s North and I’m a compass. The steel to my magnet. And for every step I order myself to take away from her, this invisible connection carries me two steps closer instead.

Rating … 5 Maple Leafs
Genre/Trope … Romantic Comedy, Enemies to Lovers, Best Friend’s Sibling, Brother’s Teammate, Grumpy/Sunshine, Next Door Neighbor
