it had its cute moments. i liked eleanor but at the same time i didn't. idk. i get that it was the 80s but it just. idk. also, why did the author use a korean surname as the first name?? it gets even more offputting that the author is white & wrote lowkey stereotypical poc characters that felt flat or not developed enough - only there to aid eleanor. we get so much ab eleanor & not enough ab park. i loved his family but i wish we could've learned more about him & his experience with racism in this mostly white community since it's brought up but never really done anything more w it. eleanor also kind of infantilizes him & it rubs me off the wrong way w how she seems to think ab him as only a pretty face & nothing more. i give this 2 stars bc i felt for her home situation & they did have cute moments, but the harder i think ab the book, the more i dislike it. yeah. idk.

The author is really good at writing like a teenager thinks. The immense love in this book makes me believe that that kind of love is possible for us. I love how these two aren't like handsome or beautiful, but they are just the outcasts who join together to survive through life in their own way.

I think the ending was a good wrap.

Sure, Eleanor leaves, and that makes Park miserable, but I think it made their relationship somehow stronger, because long distance almost never works.

This book is not for kids.

3'5/5

ngl, Rainbow Rowell super hurt my feelings with this one

Really enjoyed this book, but was hoping for more resolution at the end.

Books this good should be outlawed because they eventually end and leave the reader feeling all alone. This book is absolutely wonderful. This dork gives it 5/5 stars.

eleanor and park to koreaboo pipeline is real

One of the cutest awesome books i read in a while so john green style and i love it
Just what i needed in such hard times Lovely

Wow! Excellent book that brings you right back to your first true love. Realistic teenage angst... Amazingly written. The ending was not what I expected.
