Love some KC romcom. 1 heavy spice scene, but otherwise cheesy easy and fun. Love all her novels.

really enjoyed in a jam from the same author but just couldn’t get into this book😩😩
Grumpy/sunshine and an age gap romance that doesn’t feel icky!
Do you know what I love as much as a healthy romance in a romance novel? A healthy, supportive and diverse friend group that acknowledges each others boundaries and encourages them. I mean, that’s even more dreamy than a sharp-jawed, fictional beau- amirite?
I know I’m supposed to be obsessing about Beck or Sunny but Parker stole this entire book for me. I would read anything that has Parker in it. I didn’t think my love for Gennie could be replicated but here we have Parker and she’s done it again!
This author just writes the best side characters! I love Hale. He needs his own story. Agent Price. Mars.
Canterbary are you listening? The people are begging for these books! (Me, specifically, but I’m sure other people!)
The conflict in this book is something special. We have two ppl in a real situation where there’s no clear win. There isn’t a bad guy, they are just two people having to face a difficult situation, decide what their priorities are after reevaluating and figuring out what is worth the risk.
I think this sort of conflict is important to read about because it is something people actually experience, especially in healthy relationships between messy people. Frankly, it’s also just refreshing to not read a third act breakup due to a miscommunication.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT I WOULD GIVE FOR AN INVITE TO THE NAKED PROVISIONS BOOK CLUB?! Sigh.

i was really liking this, but it has a glaring issue that pretty much ruined it in the third act for me; sunny has no character flaws. it is ridiculously annoying, and results in her being the “perfect woman” that teaches poor tortured beckett to change. of course, she never changes, because she is perfectly reasonable and calm and sensible and adjusted and knowledgeable. she’s “terrible in relationships” but it’s not her fault! she’s flighty but she knows who she is at heart! she has absolutely zero internal conflict, and by the end of the book this renders her incredibly, incredibly, boring.
