Beckett grew up in Friendship, Rhode Island handing around his best friend while his friend's little sister, Sunny, followed along behind them. Naturally, Beckett hated this and the boys did everything they could to torture Sunny. Years later, Beckett found himself back in his hometown to handle things at his family restaurant while his parents deal with legal problems. He approaches the business next door with an issue he has with them to find Sunny all grown up, only he doesn't realize it's her.
Friendship, RI is such a fun, quirky small town, and I was super excited to be back in it. There's tons of banter and chemistry between Sunny and Beckett and it's great. I loved watching the walls break down between these two characters. There were a ton of side characters in this book. They were fun, but honestly felt like there were too many to keep track of at times. My favorite was the FBI agent. I also loved seeing a few characters from her book In a Jam!
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love small town opposites attract craziness.

I was so excited to return to the tiny town of Friendship after loving In a Jam so you can only imagine how happy I was to receive an eARC! I’m such a sucker for enemies to lovers and neither Beckett or Sunny disappointed. I’ve said before I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a MMC named Beck and I’ll say it again, even if I did want to slap him half the time Sunny did. These two perfectly balanced each other out and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop.
Another aspect of the book I appreciated was the topic of Sunny’s epilepsy. I was lucky enough to outgrow my childhood epilepsy, while Sunny was not and has two adorable service dogs (a lab and GSD like me)! I thoroughly enjoyed the disability representation and how it was not portrayed as a character flaw or something that made Sunny weak, but rather something that made her stronger and taught her how to advocate for herself. And I especially loved that Beck advocated on behalf of her when she wasn’t able to. While I half expected a seizure to have a major storyline or cause some conflict I was extremely happy to see that none of the conflicts were in correlation to a seizure, nor did Sunny even have one on page.
I absolutely cannot wait for the rest of the Friendship, Naked crew, & Loew Brothers to be back in future books!
