This book had its good and sweet moments and then it had its really slow and confusing moments. I loved the banter and their constant quips even in the spicy moments, but found it hard to follow the progression of their relationship. The pacing was kind of everywhere and it took me a bit to get through the book.
Could not get myself to care about the last 25% there’s a HUGE lull between the second and third acts
When I started this one, I didn't realize it was spinning off of In a Jam (which I absolutely loved). This one took me longer to get into. I felt like I was reading for hours and nothing really happened. I gave it more time, and during the first bedroom scene I was hooked, and the rest flew by. So be patient, she's laying the groundwork and it will pay off. Can i just say how great that first bedroom scene was? I dont know if it was the intimacy, the patience or what, it wasn’t overly dirty, but felt special and not generic. There was a lot going on for poor Becket, and I'm definitely looking forward to more story. I'm curious to see how things shake out with his parents, and everything else in that kooky town.

I am definitely in my Kate Canterbary era. I loved this book and all the fun side characters. The main characters were great too. I love how the author weaves characters from previous books into the story.
