Really had high hopes. First half was entertaining and funny and there’s was good banter. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. All the sudden there were 2 husbands? And the banter declined. Plot declined and the third act breakup made no sense. Then the book dragged on for YEARS

Well, this was certainly no In a Jam. This book in its entirety just felt off. I didn’t believe the chemistry between the characters. Even in the sexy scenes, it just fizzled. I didn’t feel any conflict. And I absolutely do not understand why there was a thread of suspense woven through this book. It was ridiculous and unnecessary. I also don’t understand why the side plot of his parents issues were even brought up when all we were given was a single sentence recap in the epilogue that basically was the equivalent of a shrug emoji.

Definitely not my favorite from this author.
