I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is everything. I laughed, I felt all the feels, it was incredibly heartfelt and funny all at the same time. The best part in my mind was the dynamic between the friends.

“They decapitated an entire stable of My Little Pony figures and hid the heads in my bed when I was nine. Last I checked, I’m legally entitled to hate him for life.”

I want a friend group like this!

Also the male interest here- super swoony. I love the dynamic here between these two. I love her, but I can’t have her!

wasn’t as good as i hoped it would be and i haven’t thought about this book once since i finished it

dnf at 50%. Found it really boring and way too long. A romance should be strictly 300-350 pages. That’s the law.

Kinda boring yet pretentious. The immense amount of characters that were just introduced is overwhelming and the conversation that ensued was very jarring.

Overall, the story was heartwarming and a nice beach read. I felt like Beck's back story before he was back in Friendship fell a little short for me.

Started out strong but then lost me towards the end. I enjoyed the characters but eventually didn’t really get their “connection.” I loved the disability visibility 100%. The callbacks to In a Jam were delightful, but I just didn’t find myself enjoying this one as much.

Man, I just really enjoy the way Kate Canterbary tells a story. I know, based on the family size, that we won't get as many Loew books as we got Walsh books (it'll be more like the Santillian series, I think), but she writes about families so well so I'm thrilled we're getting another one.

As always, I like peeks of characters from other books.

And I really *really* enjoyed both Sunny and Beck. Great character development for both! I felt for Beck so hard. He really did have the weight of the world on his shoulders and I can't wait to learn more about what happens with his parents in future Loew books. Which is also just aces because I know Kate isn't going to let me down. AND I suspect the timeline of the books will overlap so we should get more details.

Anyway, I'm happy this series is doing its thing.
