Can I just say I love the name Cavanaugh? I think it fits this alpha perfectly!!

Cavanaugh and Eloise are an interesting couple, for sure! Cavanaugh's a runaway alpha, and Eloise comes in to bring him back. Their relationship is tenuous, Cavanaugh left 10 years ago due to some disagreements he has with the rules of his back (again - without being too spoiler-y.) He's surprised when he meets Eloise again, and she's been molded into a different person than he remembers.

I love the spitfire in Eloise. How (under normal circumstances) she's ok with telling Cavanaugh what's what, no matter that he's the alpha of her pack. He definitely appreciates it, haha!

I found the pack dynamic of this story very interesting! Along with the location of the pack, and how far the couple have to go to get back home and the weather they have to go through! Heaton really captured the landscape of this one well!

As a side note - I'm still patiently waiting for Bleu's book. I know it has to be coming, right? BLEU NEEDS JUSTICE. And love. Lots of love!

Cavanaugh needs just 8 days. 8 days til he is free of his Alpha status and free to be with his fated mate as he wants to be, not as is dictated by Pride law. But when Eloise turns up at Underworld demading he return to the Pride and tells hims WHY he must return, he is faced with saving his snow leopard Pride, even if it means he breaks his own heart.

We met Cavanaugh briefly in Hunted By A Jaguar, he works in Kyter's bar, and I was intrigued by the silver haired snow leopard. He just needs to wait those 8 days and then he can be with his mate, the love of his life, the only woman he ever loved. But Eloise throws a spanner in the works by turning up to demand his return to the Pride to save them all. He knows he has to go, after she tells him what truly at stake, the forced taking of all the unmated females by the new Alpha, Eloise included. Travelling to the Pride lands take several days, and several overnight stops, but they get there in time.

I really liked this book because for a vast majority of the book, its just Cavanaugh and Eloise, on their own travelling. No one else. They get to know each other again, in more ways than one. 5 years since they saw each other and 10 years since they were togother. No one else for either of them in that time, so their coming together is explosive and emotional.

When Cavanaugh deals with the Alpha problem, Eloise is heart broken, but only until Cavanaugh tells her his true feelings, and he does it so beautifully, if in a teasing way.

We also get a chapter of Bitten By A Hellcat, who appears briefly in Hunted By A Jaguar and I just know thats gonna be one fine ride!

I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.

We briefly met Cavanaugh in Kyter and Iolanthe's story and I was immediately intrigued by him - I guess I like the tortured hero! We find out in his story that because of Pride rules and traditions, he can't be with the woman/cat that he wants to be with. When he is challenged as Alpha, he is injured and makes decisions that maybe aren't as smart as he thinks they are at the time.

This leads him eventually to 'Underworld' where he spends his time quite happily counting down the days until he can claim his woman. Of course, the path to true love is never smooth... especially when it involves shifters who are stuck in century's old tradition and a stand-in Alpha who wants things his way only.

Eloise has had it tough. She was basically persecuted by the stand-in Alpha due to her association with Cavanaugh. She stays because her family are there and leaving is a scary option. However, when it becomes that staying is the scarier choice, she decides to leave and find the one person that she thinks left her without a backward glance and put things right.

Things definitely don't go smoothly for our couple but it does help them find each other again. Theirs is a more gentle love story than some that we've had. Cavanaugh is afraid to push Eloise too much due to the past trauma that he feels responsible for. Eloise feels, partly due to the stand-in Alpha and partly due to how she sees Cavanaugh's responsibilities as Alpha, the she is unable to go toe-to-toe with him like other main females do. It is nice to see flashes of her though as she "forgets her place" and let's rip with what she really feels and thinks.

I can definitely recommend this story both by itself and also as a wonderful addition to the fantastic Eternal Mates series.

I was extremely excited when I found out Cavanaugh was getting a book. I had been interested in his character since he was introduced. He was mysterious and clearly held back, and I wanted to know why, to know his story. Then Eloise walks into his life…and his story begins…

I knew I was gonna love Cavanaugh from the moment I met him. He is everything I ever wanted in a strong alpha male. He was incredibly protective, he never did anything without making sure he could look after those he cared about. He was willing to put his life on the line to protect others. He was strong and intimidating, caring and genuine, even loving and passionate. He was a perfect mix of everything, it’s no wonder others looked up to him. When Eloise walks into the bar he works at, his entire life turns upside down. He had waited so long for the moment where he could see her again, and in she walks—clearly in danger. His instincts as an alpha kick in and he takes her under his protection. She awakens feelings in him he hadn’t felt in many years and makes it difficult for him to do the right thing. He did everything in his power to protect her and keep her safe. He knew the dangers, but it didn’t matter to him. He followed his heart and used his skills to show her he was still the same, and that she was more important to him than anything in the world. He was honest with her, never hiding what he truly felt for her from her. He wanted her to understand that she was his and always would be. They shared a passion that was all-consuming and had a love that was meant to be.

Eloise was a woman on a mission. She had to find Cavanaugh, and she did. But she wasn’t expecting everything she’s felt for him to come roaring back to the surface with a vengeance. She was determined to get him to help her, to save her and the rest of his pack. Her determination also showed her strength. To be living the life she had, she had to be strong. She was incredibly beautiful and pure-hearted. Although she loved him, she knew she could not be selfish. She was willing to put the lives of her people before her desires, which showed how much she cared for others. She had a beautiful soul and Cavanaugh saw it. He refused to let her keep walls up between them. Slowly and methodically he tore them down, showing her what they had before would be theirs again. He never led her to believe that he was going to go back, to separate them again. She tried to be honorable, but a determined and sexy as hell alpha showed her that he had no interest in anyone but his destined mate. Their passion was explosive, and their love was destined.

I truly love this series, but there was something about this book that did not quite hit as hard as all the others. I can’t put my finger on what, but I felt the impact of Cavanaugh and Eloise’s story was not enough. There could have been more to it that made their relationship stronger. However, that being said, I still loved the two of them together. There was no doubt that their love was strong and a kind of bond that was destined to be completed. It was only a matter of time. Cavanaugh was the perfect man for a strong woman like Eloise. There was no doubt in my mind that they truly loved each other, that their feelings for each other were strong and pure. I think I’m in love with him myself. Lucky shifter.

Review to come.

I didn't like this as much as the previous books I've read. It was shorter, and focused mainly on there two. There was a short sighting of Kyter and they spoke of his mate but no one else from previous books was mentioned which kinda made me sad because I really liked that about the others.

Anyway, I still liked it, and the sex scenes were steamy as fuck, and there was emotion but I didn't quite connect like I did with the others. Maybe it was the length? Maybe it was just the journey, but oh well.

Just ok

No where nearly as interesting as the last two. Much shorter story, not as invested in the H/h. This one could have used more dialogue and appearances by characters from previous installments. I have a feeling the next one's going to be pretty much the same. Trying to make it to the dragon book.

So, what did I like about it?
I am already a fan of [a:Felicity Heaton|1228468|Felicity Heaton|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1366369715p2/1228468.jpg]’s writing style (I think I might have mentioned that before. lol!); it’s the way she creates a very believable paranormal world and then filling it with complex, multifaceted characters and weaves their stories around a background arc with such depth that it just draws me in. [b:Craved by an Alpha|23010561|Craved by an Alpha (Eternal Mates, #5)|Felicity Heaton|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1418636590s/23010561.jpg|42577198] does not disappoint.

I enjoyed the dilemma aspect of this tale - following your heart or carrying out your duty - which Ms Heaton gives us here; both Cavanaugh and Eloise feel the weight of putting their pride before their own happiness.

I was already a bit of a Cavanaugh fan (there are scenes throughout the Eternal Mates series take place in "Underworld", the nightclub that he works in) but I loved getting beneath that hard, stoic exterior. Eloise is exactly what I want from a main female character; resilient, intelligent, funny and loyal! Fabulous!

I need to confess that one of the reasons why I love Ms Heaton’s books so much is the sex; she makes the most explicit sexual scenes very romantic (I think that it takes a very talented writer to accomplish this), these erotic interludes are balanced really well with beautifully written imagery and poignant internal dialogue from our main romantic pair. Ms Heaton gives her characters such depth that they become real, I found myself getting caught up with the passion (who wouldn’t!) but the tender insights into Cavanaugh and Eloise’s inner fears and emotional turmoil throughout this book was heart-warming to read.

I shed a tear or two during the tender/sad scenes and I was titillated during the sex scenes but these were balanced nicely with the fighting and action scenes that fed my adrenalin fix; yes, I was gripped and couldn’t stop reading!

So, ummm, was there anything I disliked about it?
Absolutely nothing!

So, basically what I’m saying is...
*sigh* What an wonderful paranormal romance story. It's got everything that I’m looking for in a book; action, romance, passion and plenty of well written steamy sex scenes. Couldn't stop reading this book!

As with all of Ms Heaton’s books, due to the graphic violence and sexual content (it’s definitely steamy), I’d recommend this book to adults only who are fans of relationship and romance stories with a bit of fire and passion.

Loved this book! Couldn't stop reading. Great story, wonderfully written complex characters with depth that had me engaged in Cavenaugh & Eloise's fraught romance from the first chapter.

ARC Craved by an Alpha

Hot dame this series just keeps getting better or should I say it’s all Amazing. Craved by an Alpha is book five in the Eternal Mates series by Felicity Heaton. Don’t let the five scare you off this one can be read as a stand alone. We get the perfect amount of plot, character development, and romance.

Yep, I’m enjoying these new characters in the Eternal Mates series. Cavanaugh is one sexy snow leopard. I liked his determination to do what he thought was right, so he could be with his Eternal Mate. Eloise, I also liked. She was determined to get Cavanaugh back to his pride, so he could save them from a tyrant even if it meant she would lose the one she loved. Both are strong and determined characters. The one thing I could have down without was the repeat thoughts Cavanuagh had on what his plan was and that he wants her to love to be his mate not a mistress cause of his status in the pride. Other then that. This was another Fantastic Amazing read by Felicity.

I love this series and if you have not picked it up yet, you must.

I really enjoyed Craved by an Alpha - it was a quick read, but didn't sacrifice the richness that I've enjoyed so far in the series - the characters are complete and complex, the story satisfying.

Even though I still miss the characters from the first couple books in the series, I didn't feel their absence nearly as much in Craved by an Alpha. I think I didn't miss them because they wouldn't have fit in this story - unlike the other ones, where the characters fit into this tangled web and meet for the first time in the book, these characters knew each other before and belong to their own exclusive sub-world.

And I loved that Craved by an Alpha was about fixing a past relationship gone wrong - it gave the mating storyline a freshness and uniqueness it needed this far into the series. I was able to get caught up in something a little different and, as a result, less obvious to me.

If you're looking for a sweet, sexy, quick romance, I recommend Craved by an Alpha. And even though its part of a larger series, you can easily pick it up on its own, since its connections to the previous books are miniscule.
