This book was fun and feminist and empowering while still handling tough and timely topics with grace. I really enjoyed reading this and loved how it ended (and that the dog was a POV character). That being said, while I'd love to watch a movie of this, I still don't think it was worth ALL the hype it got.

Elizabeth Zott, my autistic queen! I have no personal interest in cooking, chemistry, rowing, or parenting, but I still find her so deeply relatable, because our brains just operate so similarly. Questioning everything. Unsure why that’s a problem. Being perceived as rude and condescending because she simply speaks in facts and says what’s on her mind. I just get her, and I loved this story and the growing ensemble as it progressed.
