Well written, 5 star read, masterpiece. I’ve never had to DNF (my follow through was horrible. I put it down for all of 10 minutes before my resolve crumbled and decided I couldn’t wait to finish before book 3 in 2026.) a book because it was so good and I knew how it ended. I cannot wait for 2026. Laura, you could write anything and I would read it. I hope my daughter gets a Memnon.

An epic love story, a morally grey main character that will burn the world for his wife and a lot of enemies that want to stop them.
I realized a bit too late that this is a prequel to a series (I guess just another I started) so the story will continue as the ending suggests as well.
Easily read, maybe a bit too much repetition especially in the smutty chapters, but all in all a very entertaining book.
