NOTE TO SELF: STOP READING T L SWAN BOOKS

I was convinced there was something wrong with the digital copy because the plot holes and time jumps were so bad in this book. This author writes the most insufferable, juvenile characters, it’s honestly baffling. This book was so bad I’m questioning my ratings for the other books in this series and if I was having a fever dream when I read them.

Okay I loved Eddie & Christopher’s relationship & I liked hearing about the travels. But also happy to finally be done with this series lol

Audible listen narrated by Sebastian York and CJ Bloom.

OMG the backpack shopping with the brothers

My only thought while reading this book was why didn't Christopher come up with this solution sooner lol. Like your brother lives on a farm too and that idea to by a house out of the city NEVER crossed your mind....

it was an ok read. both mc had lots of flaws that were hard to get over as a reader. it was also really long and felt like things were happening but not really.

So I'm a big fan of this series. All the books so far have been captivating, adorable, steamy, and surprisingly super funny. But, I have to say, this last Miles book was kinda just meh for me.

First off the plot is great. Love getting to know Christopher. He has depth. He's enduring despite his spoiled lifestyle he is used to. And the constant truthful and unfiltered comments that fly from his mouth kill me. Hayden is kind, compassionate, hard working, and is always looking at the good in the world. I loved that she took no shit from Christopher, and would call him out constantly on his behavior.

But there were a lot of details in the plot that left lacking for me. I felt like every big discussion they had, they didn't actually have a conversation, they just kinda skirted around it and then deflected with humor and it was over. I feel like Christopher was not considerate at all of Hayden's feelings and how she was. And anytime she critiqued him or his lifestyle he instantly got defensive and mean and just appalled that she could think those things. Like how dare she not be impressed by his cars and his wealth? While he constantly stated he wanted to find people that liked him for him and not his name or wealth, he then got immediately upset that Hayden wasn't impressed or into his extravagant lifestyle.

Also during the breakup, I felt like Christopher never fully apologized, despite that I think he was in the majority wrong! He expected Hayden to adjust to accommodate to his lifestyle but he never even considered doing it for her. I know in the end he bought some large property in the country, which was wonderful. But he never actually stated that he would try to change and adjust for her. And that kinda irritated me. I feel like every other brother did.

But in the end, I still liked the book and I loved the series. But, Tristan will always be my favorite Miles brother!
