Super sweet and wholesome. I’ve never read the book or seen the movie, this was my first time experiencing the story. Heidi is a little ray of pure sunshine and look at all the lives she’s touched and changed for the better. It reminds you that everyone, no matter their age, can make a difference.

This was one of my favorite classic children's stories as a child. It always broke my heart when her aunt took her away to live in the city. Maybe this is part of the reason I've always been reluctant to live in more urban or even suburban places. Being around people is lovely, but part of me will always, like Heidi, long for fields of flowers and wide open air.

I really enjoyed this story! I was worried at the beginning that it would be a bit too young for me. But even though this book is clearly written with children in mind, the story and characters are so captivating that I was always excited to pick it up and spend time with them.

Heidi is an absolute joy. She’s so full of light and optimism, you can’t help but wish the absolute best for her. I’m glad that she got all she hoped for in the end.

I wish Heidi followed a similar time-course to Anne of Green Gables, so we could’ve seen Heidi grow up a bit more. But, nevertheless, I loved this book. It made me feel warm, cozy, and happy. 5/5.
