This was a book club pick and not a choice I would have made. It's a book of religious brainwashing shamelessly disguised as a children's book; Oh and Peter is a jealous little psychopath.
What an uplifting and wholesome children's book. It made me happy.

A beautiful read!
I loved the scenery, the characters, and the message. I think this is a great read for all ages, with timeless themes of finding contentment where you are, the goodness of God to the just and the unjust, and the zest that little girls bring to the lives of others!
I also really enjoyed Heidi's special bond with her grandfather; it reminded me of my own.

I never was into the movies that much, even though Shirley Temple played the title character. But when I FINALLY got to read the book I loved it. It was real cute and one of the first books I read where I saw my name lots and lots. =)
I remember this book as being one of my favorites as a child. I enjoyed reading it again, and maybe it was just an issue with the translation, but it felt more preachy than I remembered it being. Still love Heidi, Clara, and Peter - but I didn't connect in the same way that I did as a child.
I like this book a lot because I visited Switzerland a lot.
Me lo he leído un montón de veces y siempre me apasiona (además de que me he visto toda la serie de Heidi cuando era pequeña
