Can’t quite tell if it’s a full 5 stars yet as I need to think more about it. I wasn’t sure where this was going but wow what a gut punch. There are a couple scenes in here that just feels so dreadful and horrifying and traumatic and beautiful at the same time? So well done

My first Nat Cassidy book and unfortunately this was just okay for me, that’s not to say it’s bad i thought it was written pretty well i just didn’t resonate with the main character and around the halfway mark i found myself losing interest in the story, the pacing just didn’t work for me.

He warned me. Mr. Cassidy warned me about fairy tale endings in the Trigger Warnings at the beginning. I didn’t listen.

Also, the Afterward almost made me cry. Please read it. It’s beautiful.

This book surprised me in the best way. I was expecting a bloody werewolf romp with '80s horror vibes and sure, I got that. But When the Wolf Comes Home delivers so much more. It's action-packed and heart-pounding, with plenty of gore and genuine scares. But what really got me was the emotional core and the twists that completely reframe everything you think you know about the story. It turns into something far more existential and unsettling than expected. That ending? Intense. Go in blind for this one.

Try to go into this as blind as possible and buckle up for the ride. Nothing is as it seems. Relationships are messy. The world is unpredictable. This is my second Nat Cassidy and I can't wait to read more.

This dark, twisty fairy tale was right up my alley! The turns in the plot were so good, I literally couldn't put it down.
