A great plot but I felt like I was watching a long flash back and the story was finally getting moving right as we came to the end.

I really enjoyed the world of this romantasy. It felt fresh and had a lot of more unique elements. The world building was well written and had a slower pace than some other books which helped with character development. I also really enjoyed the romance once it started building, their banter, and how they helped each other get through their problems. The ending had my jaw dropping and excited for the next book! The part I found frustrating was why she would sabotage herself from being strong enough to battle who she needed to until the peak moment.
