This book starts slow but gets better I’ve the course of the novel. Characters that initially seemed shallow are actually really dynamic figures whose past slowly gets spelled out for the reader. Would recommend.

Underwhelming, a lot of misogynistic language that I don’t think actually helped advance the plot, and drawn out for too long. I kept waiting for the big reveal and it wasn’t really there.

I enjoyed this book and it went into a direction that I wasn't expecting. Similar in feel to Gone Girl (but not as suspenseful) or Girl on a Train.

I refuse to believe this character is a Wesleyan alum.

I can't believe I forgot I read this and read it again. I still cannot stand Ani and do not believe her as a Wes alum.

I was too stubborn to make this my first ever DNF. Don't read this vapid book.

For some reason, this was not what I expected it to be. I expected it to be a thriller and while it had some suspense, it didn't read like one.
dark emotional sad tense slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Darker than my tastes run, but such a page-turner.

I watched the movie on Netflix first but the book was better!!
