Quick Summary: A study on the life, the ministry, and the unique challenges of Elijah
My Review: Elijah: Faith and Fire by Priscilla Shores was released in 2021.
About the Study: "Join Priscilla Shirer on this 7-session journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now."
My Final Say: I found this study to be remarkably nourishing. I took a scenic route approach, opting to spend time sitting in the lessons in an effort to properly and thoroughly digest the lessons. I'm glad I did. In the end, I walked away understanding that we all have seasons and experiences in like much akin to this prophet of old. We, too, like him, must come to the realization that we need GOD.

Shirer always does an amazing job with he studies. Digs in deep to scripture and leads the study well.
I hated got this study to end. Priscilla Shirer masterfully brings you into the life of Elijah the prophet prompting you to take a closer look at why you yourself may experience a swinging pendulum of confidence and emotions as a woman of God.
I loved this Bible study! Not only does Priscilla write well and engage people well, it’s also a topic that can reach all women. It talks a lot about different seasons in Elijah’s life that can be similar to seasons we go through, and the purpose each one can bring.
Other than vague memories of Elijah being an important Hebrew prophet, I'd really never studied him before this. That's a shame because his story has it all, but most importantly, the message that, through God, any of us can do might things.
I have to confess, Priscilla Shirer is not my favorite Bible Study leader, but I think it's a personality thing, not an interpretation thing. I tend to be pretty calm and laid back, but she tends to be a bit more confrontational than I like.
That being said, I got a lot out of this study and really wrestled with some useful stuff. I often found myself failing to complete the homework, because it was giving me so much to think about. Or maybe it's just that this study seemed to come at just the right time to take on some extra meaning (studying about the nation of Israel turning away from God to bow down to false idols, while extremists stormed our nation's capitol because their preferred candidate didn't win an election, felt like a little too much idol worshipping coincidence to be ignored).
