She did it again - Mia Sheridan wrote a twisty thriller that kept me up late reading. She weaves the plot of her last book "Where the Blame Lies" seamlessly into this one, and ties them together in ways that I never dreamed.
The prologue instantly drew me in, with wondering what happened to Liza and Mady...and then when the book jumps to the future, and introduces Reed and adult Liza, I was wondering where this was going.
Sheridan creates a serial killer that is terrifying, and seriously kept me guessing until the end. I usually figure out who the "bad guy" is and this one took me totally off guard. The details woven into the plot were intricate and many, and made me want to plot everything out on paper to connect the dots.
I really liked Reed and Liza, and pulled for them throughout the book.
Extremely well done and as always, I can't wait to see what Sheridan writes next!

• This book was really good and there were a lot of things that in with the last book which I didn’t expect seeing but really enjoyed
• The plot was amazing and definitely worth 5 stars - I liked how the beginning showed both of the main characters’ pasts/important things in their pasts (); then what happens in the present for Reed and Liza to meet again, the killings were interesting and what the killer thought he was doing when he killed those people (I’m not sure if I understood it completely - ); I really liked how these murders led them to the old director of the hospital and I thought that the twists/discoveries were amazing ()
• The only thing that made me give this book a 4 star rating and not 5 was that although we saw the side characters, there weren’t many scenes with them actually interacting with the main characters and I wanted to see that as it would have shown more of the main characters’ personalities and I just wanted to actually get to know the side characters (like Arryn who seemed like she could have been a funny character and Reed’s 2 step-brothers who say maybe a sentence each); I wanted to see more of Zach and Josie and I wanted to see Liza working at the hospital with the patients like Simon
• I thought that the author wrote this book really well - all the twists and secrets that were revealed in this book were amazing and I didn’t expect them; I liked that the things that happened made sense and there weren’t any plot holes and everything was explained; the characters in this book who were given more attention were very well developed and I liked how the author showed that people are all complex (most of the time authors show one thing in their books and then at the end make a character voice something else but throughout this whole story the author was showing how people are all complex and not only good or bad -)

Spoiler
how realistic Reed meeting his biological mother was as he looks exactly like his biological father so it was reasonable that at first she might not recognise Reed as her son and be afraid; what Liza’s home life looked like and how her brother sort of snappedSpoiler
the people that Axel killed by throwing them off high places were people who wronged the ‘angels’ but were the people who he strangled and enucleated just random people who were doing bad things or was there a reason that those specific people died?Spoiler
how the old director, Gordon, also used to be a serial killer until he couldn’t walk anymore and he was ‘training’ his grandsons to continue his ‘work’ and it turned out that Gordon killed Charles’ mother so that she couldn’t come to court to try to get custody of Charles and when Charles finally found how, he killed Gordon and impersonated him when Reed called the director to get more information; then when Axel had all the ‘angels’, the innocent and the demon who was Charles, I really liked the scenes with how they were trying to escape• The only thing that made me give this book a 4 star rating and not 5 was that although we saw the side characters, there weren’t many scenes with them actually interacting with the main characters and I wanted to see that as it would have shown more of the main characters’ personalities and I just wanted to actually get to know the side characters (like Arryn who seemed like she could have been a funny character and Reed’s 2 step-brothers who say maybe a sentence each); I wanted to see more of Zach and Josie and I wanted to see Liza working at the hospital with the patients like Simon

Charles was a horrible person as he kidnapped innocent women and tortured them but then at the end he didn’t act to only benefit himself and helped the others escape too
5 stars!!
Mia Sheridan does it again. Where the blame lies was the first book that I read by Mia Sheridan and I absolutely loved it and when I heard she was coming out with a continuation I was so excited. Where the truth lives did not disappoint. I loved the whole mystery/crime thriller element. Both books complemented each other and I loved how the story wrapped up at the end. All the characters went through so much but I loved how it all ended!!

all this book did, (besides having an amazing plot and characters) was remind me of criminal minds, specially Reid so it was automatically a good read… but for real the plot of this book was immaculate and had me solving the case with the characters.. mia sheridan knew what she was doing with this duet!!!!
romantic thrillers are slowly becoming a favourite of mine and i seriously cant wait to read more

Once again Mia Sheridan crafts a suspenseful, twisted story that had me guessing at every turn as to what was going to happen. She is such a master at leaving subtle clues along the way that as a reader had my mind spinning with all the possible scenarios that could be playing out. I especially loved how this played out as the follow up to Where the Blame Lies and I loved how the story tied into and gave closure to Zach and Josie’s story. All the while allowing Reed and Liza’s story to stand solidly on its own. Connected yet separate in its own right.
This unputdownable story undoubtedly grabbed my attention from the first page, right from THAT PROLOGUE. Simply chilling. From then on, there are many shocking, jaw-dropping and mind-boggling twists and turns I never saw coming which knocked me for six. The plot is masterfully and meticulously well thought out, fast-paced and the characters themselves are extremely complex, multi-layered and intriguing.
Where the Truth Lives is not for the faint of heart. This romantic suspense deals with a lot of heavy topics like abuse and murder. However it is an amazing ending to this story. It has redemption with an epic conclusion. Mia Sheridan has a brilliant mind and she had me second guessing every theory I could think of. Expect the unexpected with each and every moment of this book. Thrilling, suspenseful and completely phenomenal!

Oh man... I feel sort of let down by this one. Do not get me wrong... brilliantly written, edge of the seat stuff, pacing furious with very little let up on it... but... but... the finale felt like a convenient cop-out... and all a bit too 'Red Dragon'... so... still, for me, a good read... but disappointing. Sighs.

Tergoda untuk baca scanning, tapi malah bablas sampai 3,5 jam :")
Penilaian awalku masih sama, romance-nya no banget di sini. Aku skip bagian itu. Cuma karakternya Reed Davies ini gilaaa. Juaraaa. Cara dia ngomong tentang ibunya aja bikin aku berkaca-kaca.
