❐ Overall Rating 4¾ | Narration 4¼
❐ Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Callie Dalton
❐ Listening Length: 12H 22M
❐ Where…#2
❐ Romantic Suspense
❐ Heavy on the Suspense/Mystery/Thriller
❐ Light on the Romance
This was really quite good. I loved how it tied in with the first book...this one being Reed/Logan’s story (Josie’s Baby). This was a very intricately plotted story...I’m surprised by how much I liked this duology. One that fed both my need for a suspenseful police procedural and my need for a little romance, especially one that doesn’t have me rolling my eyes because of the cheesiness.
With an emphasis on the mystery surrounding a serial killer and not so much on the romance, I found this a perfect mix of both. The narrators weren’t great but they were good and didn’t lessen my enjoyment of the book overall. Mia Sheridan is becoming a go-to romantic suspense author for me and I wouldn’t mind more books by her in this sub-genre.

Where the Truth Lives: 5 out of 5 stars!!
Where to start with this one...
I'm not one to put a book away at night (it's my prime reading time) but the descriptions of the dead bodies in this book were so clear that I read with all the lights on and had to read a lighter book before going to sleep to get this one out of my head.
That being said, it's one of my favourites of this year!
I was so invested in the story between Liza and Reed, but almost even more so the mystery and twists throughout the book.
Liza is an extremely strong woman who's dealt with a lot of pain growing up and used those experiences to help others. Reed grew up in a loving home but struggled with the identity of his bio father Charles, the serial killer from the first book .
Get ready for a twisted, stressful, make-the-hair-on-your-arms-stand-up, fast-paced book that you won't be able to put down.
PS: is it wrong that i was sorta rooting for charles at the end... okay i know the answer is yes.

PS:
Wooa, this book kept me on the edge of the seat. The suspense made my skin tingle with excitement; that’s why I love crime genre. I could hear the clicking sound like unlocked keys in my head whenever more clues and leads were discovered; it’s so satisfying to follow the development of the investigation. This book definitely provided all the answers to some of the unknowns at the end of Where the Blame Lies including you-know-who. Although I did wish that Mia would elaborate a little more on Charles Hartsmans' thought process - perhaps a psychological explanation of his doings (he obviously cared a lot for Reed, his son and Josie). In the end, I like this one a tad bit more because of how complex this case is and romance was not the main focus.
I spent a day and 1/2 to finish it because it was worth not socializing, nor checking my phone nor talking to my boyfriend who lives with me

No surprise, I loved this book as much as her other ones ❤️
Mia Sheridan can write about troubled, but oh so strong characters as no other. Reed and Liza were perfect. I also liked how she portraited Charles Hartsman because everyone has two faces. He did unspeakable things, but he also saved them.
So thank you for another thrilling, beautiful, well-written story!

explain to me how a book can make me sympathize with a rapist??? like how does a book redeem a rapist?? I don't understand!! anyway, definitely read this after Where the Blame Lies.
4.5 stars!!!
This one was definitely better on storytelling, even though the plot from the first one is just so perfect (and so are the characters).
Loved everything about this, the romance building, the suspense. I feel like the author balanced both genres much better, and Reed is a new fictional crush for me.
The trauma from Liza was handled so well, the character development and the closing for the first book — beautiful. The way the author dived into the villain was very interesting, it brought more depth and complexion to him. Some of the things that felt confused to me took half star on this, also the liking of the characters, but it was just details that I personally didn’t like, so please read this series!
Don’t know if there will be a next book, but it’d be amazing...

This wasn't easy read because of the twisted people, but story was very interesting.
After this book I can confirm that I like action, detective stories.
