There were too many references to real life, like authors, TikTok, books, etc. Didnt feel like i was in a whole new world reading, which is odd because the book is about ghosts. But the constant talk about real-life things takes you out of the loop. Also, the ending felt extremely rushed.
It was a quick, entertaining read and an excellent book for young adults.

The first 30% was a tough slug and the last 70% was CUTE with ALL CAPS. Some biiiiig Just Like Heaven vibes had you terrified and you will admit to crying thrice. A literary masterpiece it was not and some, nay, most, of the background filler info was completely questionable. But wait did you mention that it was CUTE? And it was a happily ever after so

Can’t stop won’t stop these romances by Ashley Poston are delicious! A few of the jokes are a little too millennial pop culture across the two I’ve read so far, and most of the twists are so well foreshadowed you can see them a mile off but honestly I’m having a great time! I love that they tackle such complex emotions in such fun settings and scenarios. A lot of these general plots I’ve definitely read versions of in fanfic and this is the first time I’m reading them in a published setting where it’s just as captivating!
