Elluin, Kaeler, & Lord Taran have to be the most punchable fictional characters, I swear.

I want to wrap Cylvan, Saffron, the beantighe crew, Asche & Nimue up in bubble wrap & fuzzy blankets and shield them from the entire world.

Lord of Silver Ashes was perfection as a second book in this series. The melding of the existing plot and subplot tidbits left after book one and the development in book two were flawless. The revelations connecting all the pieces were exciting and unexpected. I have found many series where the second book left you feeling wanting, the plot not really going anywhere and repetitive of book one. This never did.

Again Kellen Graves’ brilliant writing immersed you in the emotions and events throughout the book. I was pleased to have both Saffron and Cylvan’s povs, which enriched their relationship even more. I love the aspect of an happily ever after ending that makes you think. . . But is it? I am very excited to delve into book three.

Holy Sh*t! This book is a freaking MASTERPIECE!! I was already obsessing about the first book, but this one just raised the bar STRATOSPHERE-HIGH.

My heart was already bruised from book one but this motherfreaking **** of a book just sliced it right out of my chest to stepdance on it. Damn, the pain! Meanwhile, I had to guzzle down the plot like popcorn, greedy for every bite of more sweet addiction. Every time I thought "Yep, know I now where this is going" the author was like "Oh no, you don't

3.5 rounding to 4.
I really love the pacing of this story. It is ultimately a Big Battle for the World™️ but it's not slamming you in the face of even rushing Saffron or Cylvan through anything. The progression of each character's growth and their relationship is so well done I can't help but love it. Everything that is frustrating about each character is frustrating because it's realistic. Saffron isn't going to suddenly wise up, that would be out of character. He has to go through this slog. Cylvan isn't going to just suddenly abandon every prejudice and world view and limiting belief just because he loves Saffron. That's not how people work (or fae!)!

I love my pure beautiful idiot boy and his depressed idiot prince. These two dummies are going to continue to break my heart but I can't wait for book 3!

i don't think i'll ever be okay again!! every second i have to wait for volume 3 will be absolute torture!

GAHH I loved this book. Maybe a little more than Prince of the Sorrows! It pissed me off alot more too. Fuck Taran. I want at least two more books because Saffron and Cylvan have a whole world to change and I can already sense the resistance they’ll encounter. I love the magic system, even when it makes me scratch my head. I loved meeting Asche and I’m glad that certain fey is dead. I’m also really sad about that bookstore

I want to rate this less because it hurt me. But I simply cannot because it hurt me. It hurt me so much. I have not recovered.
