Have you ever read a book and been so absorbed in it that when you finish it you are just sitting there stuck for words and like a zombie? Well this is exactly how i feel,my emotions are running amok and my head feels that it's about to blow.
From the first chapter of Captain's book i was seriously invested and absolutely love Captain. He is the thinker and most analytical of the Brayshaws , he needs to know how things work and why they work, when he starts to realise that Victoria is hiding things from them he can't work her out and it frustrates him.
Victoria must prove herself as a Brayshaw, she has always been secretive and very smart and when Captain starts asking questions she must decide if he is ready to hear the answers.
This book is a fast paced rollercoaster ride that will keep you wanting more...

This will not have 4 stars because of the existence of chapter 35.

I have mixed feelings towards this book, to be honest. It took me a long time getting into it and even longer to establish a connection with Captain and Victoria. Not sure if it was because between finishing Reign of Brayshaw in Sep 2019 and now too much time had passed and I should have re-read at least book 3 in this series or if it was something different.

I had trouble feeling the chemistry and attraction between Captain and Victoria and I started this story with more questions than I had answers. It took me way past over 50% to start feeling something for the characters and feeling with them along all the many things that happened to them. But once it clicked, there was no turning back.
The most gorgeous and adorable side character is - obviously - Zoey. God, there is no way you can't fall for her right away, the first time she appears.

The writing is as phenomenal as all other books I've read so far by Meagan Brandy. One of her talents is having you guessing until you can't take it anymore. Dropping only little hints here and there, making you the moth attracted to the light, you have no choice but to follow. The way she let her characters grow while telling their story is one of my highlights in this book.

I wish I had read this book sooner, so I won't make the mistake leaving much time before starting Break Me. I'll start right now. :-)

Where do I begin?

I am completely unsure where I’m even going to begin with this one. This book hit me by complete surprise. This book stole my breath when I was least expecting it. I went through every emotion in those 400ish pages. I laughed. I cried. I was jealous. I was heartbroken. I was mad. And finally I was complete. I am not sure what voodoo magic Meagan Brandy put into this book but I am here for it, from now until the end. Victoria and Captain are the definition of Soulmates, yet reading how they found it every step of the way made me giddy inside. On top of this love story it’s also a continuation of a story where brothers are the best part in each other. Getting to go a step further and read about the women that complete their souls makes for a series that is breathtaking. There is spice, there is drama, there is heartbreak, and every second you know that there is love. It may take our main characters a while to figure that out or a while to be OK with what’s happening, but as a reader it’s been a hot second since a book truly stole my breath. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!

I enjoyed this book. Continuation on from a different story of the same series. Loved the characters as much as they annoyed me.
