This book had my husband checking on me because I was sobbing sm
This was supposed to be a stand-alone book. Yet it isn't. It doesn't tell much about main or side characters. If you are reading this book as a stand alone, you will get confused A LOT.
I have read all three previous Brayshaw series books, so I know what is going on. And, as a sequel, it did okay. The story was interesting, it had some steamy scenes, of course it wasn't perfect but all in all I did enjoy the read. But one thing just didn't click. It seemed like the book was written not from Cap's but from Maddoc's perspective since I always thought that Captain is a caring, thoughtful, logical (most logical of all three Brayshaw boys), but to me he seemed so cruel and out of character in this book.

Captain is a great dad and all but tbh I don't think he deserves Victoria.
She did so much for him and he repayed her by hurting her so much. I was still okay, not happy though, by that point because I was expecting some groveling on his part when he realised what a huge mistake he made but IT DID NOT COME. She just took him back like nothing happened. I don't think he even apologised.
Captain treated her like shit and that end scene with him, Victoria and Mallory was not needed and I hated it.
He was just a different guy. He was not the guy I loved in the trilogy. I'm so disappointed right now. I was really looking forward to enjoying this.

i had such high expectations for this, but unfortunately it was not my favorite in the series.
i really liked it still, it was absolutely adorable to see zoey and her relationship with everyone (shes like the only kid i'll allow in books, shes the sweetest).
it was so great to get more of captain and victoria, because i was rooting for them from the very first book, even though his actions disappointed me and made me mad at some points, it was still a cute book and story overall.
that cliffhanger in the end?!? im so ready for royce's book!!!!!

Be My Brayshaw is the fourth installment within the Brayshaw series. After devouring the first three books, I was pretty excited to jump into Captain's. He was also intriguing to me. Same feeling towards Victoria. So, I definitely wanted to see what these two would be like.
They definitely had their fair share of suspense and steamy scenes. I just hate how secretive these guys are and it sort of frustrates me that Captain continued this dumb trend. Not saying that Victoria is an angel and tells everything like it is because that would be a lie. She had her own vault of secrets and I just wanted to know everything.
The whole push and pull between them was hard to look away from. They were both loyal to one another, but I wanted something different romance wise. We already go this tension from Raven in the first books. Not that I can complain with the formula being used because it works. I just wanted something different since it was a new couple.
