Five Freaking Stars! Brandy has rocked my world all over again! This book was so much more than I ever anticipated! First things first, if you have not read the Brayshaw series you NEED to! I will never and I mean NEVER get enough of these characters and their loyalty. It's truly something so special, that nothing compares! This is Captain and Victoria's story and I have to say... out of all the characters, for me Captain was put kinda on the back burner, I was interested in him and his story but I was always more fascinated with the other character... buckle up buttercup because Captain is about to consume you!!! Man, I was so unprepared for this book. I went in excited, it was on my anticipated list because I love Brandy and this world of Brayshaw she created, but I was not on top of my game and this book put me on my A33! Be My Brayshaw is absolutely jaw-dropping! The storyline is unpredictable and intoxicating, also very emotional! There is so much heart and soul in this book, so many secrets filled with so much pain. This is a slow burn that is well worth the wait! You will fall so quickly and get lost in everything that is happening both in the past and in the present. Brandy really did a remarkable job with this story, She pieced everything together so perfectly. I'm dying for more, there's no secret that Royce is my favorite but Captain really pulled one over on me! Victoria was such a phenomenal character, a hidden gem! I loved this book, it's easily on my Best reads of 2020. A hands-down MUST READ! I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
It makes me sad how much I disliked this book after the first 3 in the series. I loved Captain, but this book ruined him for me. The book didn’t give you any real connection scenes prior to dropping the whole drama plot between them. I enjoyed the angst and how Victoria didn’t let him push her away and tried to be what he needed, but then their issues just became immature. It just seemed toxic to allow any of that to happen when everything was wrapped up around a child.
Eventually you get to the part where they are connecting and then the story just went off the rails in too many different directions that I was left confused. The climax of this story with Mike and Mallory and Victorias past honestly was so out there and poorly done, it ruined the entire book for me.
Such a let down.

I love both of these characters, but overall the book frustrated me. In the end, I needed Captain, who had messed up so much with Victoria again and again, to come forward for her in a way he just didn't. He is there in the end but it could have happened in a way that didn't leave me really frustrated. Still worth reading, and I've read it twice now, but both times I was annoyed and frustrated and left not feeling super satisfied.
And finally, the story of Victoria and Captain... the one we've been waiting for has finally come and I'm here for it. Let me just start with saying, it was everything I was expecting and yet, the author gave us so much more! Oh my heart!
What I really liked about this story is that, the author has stayed true to her characters. We all know that Captain is the calm, collected, logical one in the group. And in this installment, he stepped up to the role of being a young, single father and all the hardships it entails to raise a kid. She showed us Captain's emotional side, the "human" side. For sure, it wasn't easy- the journey to Victoria and Captain's HEA- but that was what this made this book such an emotional, compelling, engrossing read. It was realistic and authentic in its portrayal of human emotions and actions- the betrayals, secrets, family love and loyalty.
A truly remarkable love story and highly recommends to fans of the series. I can't wait for Royce's book!!!

I loved getting to spend time with the Brayshaw family again. The love and bond they have is everything.
And I cannot wait for Uncle Royce’s story!!
I will be honest, Captain had me so frustrated. There were some times with him that had you fanning yourself but the Cap I knew from the stories before and this one seemed so different. But, I guess when you go from the outside looking in to inside the mind of someone you get to truly see all of them.
Now, Victoria y’all. That chick there I’m in awe of. It’s not easy to redeem someone who’s been looked as the villain but Meagan Brandy did that!
In Be My Brayshaw, we get to know the girl behind all the secrets. We discover all the sacrifices she has made and we realize that she has balls of steel and a heart of gold and just everything!

Captain has been my favorite Brayshaw since day 1 and his book did not disappoint. I absolutely LOVED getting to know more about Captain and Victoria. Be My Brayshaw was just as addicting, gritty, and hot as the first 3 Brayshaw books!
