Aww, Captain my Captain. Even the most level-headed of the Brayshaws make stupid mistakes with the woman they love. A must-read.

Meagan has once again upped the level of heat, angst, and love that can only be described as "Brayshaw"

I always knew Captain's book was going to be intense by his quiet, brooding attitude. What I didn't expect was Meagans ability to win me over to Victoria's side. Underneath all of Captains quiet intensity is a boy who has had people leave him, and disappoint him his whole life. The only people he has ever been able to rely on are his two boys, and most recently Raven. With Victoria coming on the scene she holds so many secrets that he doesn't think he could ever trust her again after her betrayal. Even though he hates her he hates that he wants her more.

This book allows us to watch Captain step into his new role of being a full time dad. No longer is Zoey a closely kept secret away from everyone she is now a part of the family. The biggest hurt is knowing that Zoey is connect more then just to the people he trusts. As much as I love Captain there were a few times through this book that I wanted to smack him upside the head to knock some sense into him.

Victoria really took me by surprise in this book. Her depth, and character development by Meagan blew me away. The fact that Meagan was able to keep us in suspense about Victoria for three previous books only speaks to Meagan's writing ability. Victoria is redeemed many times over, and getting her persepctive was something I had been looking forward too since we found out she was going to be Captain's loves interest.

I cannot urge you enough to get this book, and read it! Often books that folllow up an epic love story trilogy seem to start to fizzle out. Meagan fanned the flames, and has left me more excited then ever to get Royce's book!

First things first, I LOVED Victoria. She was amazing and so kind and selfless and just so ready to give everything up for those she cared about.

I loved her attitude and the way she was ready to fight for her place in the Brayshaw boy’s group. Her relationship with Raven was amazing and I loved that every one of her actions were for the good of those around her.

From the first book, I’d been so excited to read about Captain and see how amazing he’d be as a dad and how loving and supportive he’d be of his love interest. That being said, I was very disappointed..

He out Victoria through so much and honestly she deserved so much better. I’m such a romantic and usually am pretty forgiving after some groveling and a little begging for forgiveness - but Captain was just horrible to Victoria and I kind of wished she’d just dump him and leave.

He literally cheated on her and went back to his daughter’s mom for no other reason than because she’s the mom?? Victoria was way more of a mother figure and it was crazy that he barely even had to ask for forgiveness after cheating and treating Victoria like trash throughout the entire book.

Ahh I wished Captain would’ve been different because I had such high hopes and this book had so much potential (I loved all the scenes with Captain’s baby girl and Royce and Maddox.. just so cute!) and her relationship with Victoria was everything.. their little eskimo kisses and their “so much” phrases were so cute and I was obsessed... there were a lot of great things in the book but Captain just ruined it all for me.

After seeing how selfless Victoria was and how she literally helped out the boys so much without them ever knowing about it and SHE was the one that let Captain know that he even had a daughter in the first place AFTER she convinced the baby momma not to have an abortion without even telling Captain about and then offered her money and to completely take care of a total stranger’s newborn baby.. ah she was just such an amazing girl and again, so selfless- so for her to be treated so poorly was horrible to read. She deserved so much better

Be my brayshaw

I will admit that I had to take some time before writing this review. I never in a million years would have expected cap to treat his woman like trash. I could understand in the start of the book when they thought she was up to something but not after certain things were revealed. He treated her like a disposable toy. Don’t even get me started on his sneaking off and hiding things (I’m keeping them vague because of spoilers) especially when he was mad at vee for the same thing. I was really disappointed in captain and I don’t think I will ever like him the same as I did before his book. It’s like he was a completely different person than what we previously knew about him.
Victoria on the other hand blew me away. She was so much more than I expected her to be. She was strong and determined and incredibly understanding. I liked that she waited to reveal things at the right time and didn’t just blurt them out when she was being called a liar and being treated like a traitor. The fact that she had to learn how to be a good person completely on her own just made it even better.

Best Book! Hands Down!

Through all the ups and downs Captain was so worth the wait. I could not put the book down. If you loved the first 3 books you'll love this one even more! Must read!!!

I love victoria wish she would’ve been stronger like she was in the previous book, I loved captain until this book I was questioning a lot of his decisions not my fave. Some parts in this book were very unnecessary. However I cried like a baby reading the letter from victorias mom and the video.

I am so in love with Captain and Victoria. They are such an incredible characters. The twists and turns of their journey shocked me... Meagan Brandy is such an amazing author. I'll be in a book hangover for the next however many months until Royce's comes out.

My heart!
For some unfathomable reason, I keep coming back, letting Brandy squeeze my heart in her fists, reveling in this world she’s created.
I knew I was gonna love Captains’s story, and honestly, I might love it a little more than the first three. (Not much, but there’s just something about him that makes you love him.)
Pair that with Victoria, and the ride is bound to be wild. She’s so fierce, in ways that are both similar and completely different from Raven. Her relationship with Zoey & Captain, as well as the rest of the Brayshaw family was truly beautiful.
I adored seeing Raven & Maddoc living their HEA, & the sneak peeks at what Royce is up to.
I never want to leave this world.

Finally got back into this series! Listened to this book on audio and I really enjoyed it. Storyline was super cool kept me very interested. Captain annoyed the ever living hell out of me tho….this man was so dumb, put Victoria through so much unnecessary pain.

Still I’m glad I read it, missed my Bray family
