Wow....this one really puts us readers through the wringer...
Victoria and Captain have a lot to deal with before they make it to their HEA.

I liked getting Captain's POV. He seems so calm on the surface, but when we get to his book, we see the storm brewing inside of him.
The further along I get in this series, the more I enjoy the bond that Captain, Royce and Maddoc share.
Victoria was a pleasant surprise - I did not expect to like her, but I did. Her bond with Zoey was so sweet.

.... What the hell was that? No one's character made sense and was unrecognizable from the previous books and the plot was bananas and made no sense. So disappointing.

If you enjoyed the first three books in the series don’t read this it will ruin it

3.5 STARS!! I wanted to give it 5 but I had one main problem-and that was the in one too many instances Captain seemed to fall away from the character we grew to love over the last 3 books and it made me hate him a little bit.

Victoria Vega was the best. I like her even more than I did Raven. Victoria was so selfless in all her actions. Did she lie along the way? Sure, but when you realized what she lied about it makes sense and it made you trust her that much more. From how she was with Zoey, to how she fought for her own brand of freedom- just wow. As the story unravels you really can't help but love how she put every single person before herself.

Now Captain- what to do with you? He was a bitter bitter boy this book. And to be fair I kind of hated it even though I understood it. But it got to the point where I didn't. When Victoria showed time and time again that she was trust worthy, that she did things to help people and never once outed herself he should have trusted her. He was the thinker of the group, who took his time to come to conclusions- but anytime there was someone there to question her- he went at Victoria with questions immediately. When Zoey's mom made an appearance he went to her and I felt for Victoria for what she saw. Brady really wrote her heartbreak so well. But I hated how easily Victoria gave in to Captain.

Captains' confusion I get that. But the secrets he kept- how he went about things and didn't talk to his brothers like he did every other book? Nah- seemed out of character. He was always the one to back Raven up no matter what- he was dubbed the 'thinker' of the group but we saw none of that in this book. I felt like he really betrayed Victoria and it hurt to see him- the one with the brain who thought everything through to make such rash decisions (mostly with his baby momma who as far as he knew left his daughter and never told him). Once he found out every single thing Victoria did for him and Zoey I wanted tears and grovelling from him and I never got it dammit!

Captain and Victoria

I really enjoyed this. There are some plot holes, but I enjoyed the characters too much to really mind.

I literally think this series has some form of crack in it. I can’t stop.
