Be My Brayshaw

All the Feels!

The ugly cry is real with this one... Holy smokes!

Captain and Victoria's story put the feels front and center. There was no stopping the heartbreak, sobbing, laughing, angry so much I wanted to throw my phone!

Brandy went full force and took no prisoners!

Also can we just take a minute to talk about the freaking cliffhanger!! Royce is gonna have his hands hella full!

Captain had me from the minute he put on his famous brass knuckles in book one of the Brayshaw series, so I expected to love him in his own book.

What I didn’t expect? Was to actually love Victoria maybe even more!

You get back story in a layered way that only Meagan Brandy can do! And you get the answer to so many unanswered questions!

And of course you get to see Maddoc, Raven, Royce... ZOEY!!! And so many more from the first three books!

Now back to those brass knuckles for a hot minute....and when I say HOT, I mean scorching HOT. If you love the cabin scene in book one? Well you’re going to hyperventilate.

This book was insanely good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt a tad slow near the middle which is why I docked half a star but it was still a very fun and quick read. Highly recommend. I cannot wait for Royce’s book!

As much as I loved Raven and Maddoc.... Captain and Victoria hands down won my heart! Captain was my favorite boy from the very beginning. He is caring yet bad ass. He has a heart of gold with many walls built up. Victoria is also the same way. The way she is with Zoey makes you wish she was hers. They are the perfect contrast to each other. This has to be my favorite story so far. Meagan out did herself when she wrote Captain and Victoria's story it could not have been more perfect. You have suspense, darkness, love, danger you have everything you could want. This was a wild ride that I didn't wanna get off . You will not be disappointed with this one! Cant wait to see what unfolds for Royce!

Let’s start off by saying Zoey is absolutely the sweetest most adorable tiny human to walk the earth.

While the first three books in the series deals a lot with the school and the town, this book focuses primarily on Captain and Victoria’s stories. The miscommunication trope is *huge* and this whole book is basically “they need to know this but I won’t tell them unless they ask me directly and if they don’t then they’ll have to figure it out on their own even if it means they hate me”.

SPOILERS BELOW
- the scene with Mallory, Captain, and Victoria… why? It made no sense and felt random and thrown in, much like the foursome cabin scene in book 1.
- I wish Perkins had lived
- Raven’s pregnancy felt unnecessary in book 3, and it still feels like it added nothing to the story
- Chloe’s pregnancy, also why? Random and hasn’t added anything to the story, we’ll see whether it has any relevance in book 5
