Frances Price, our anti-hero, is a blessedly complex female character whose actions and opinions warrant critical discussion. She is loving and narcissistic, with hints of Olive Kitteridge, but is her own being entirely. Also, there's a cat!

I wanted to give this book both 2 and 4 stars. Clever yet remarkably cliché. If 50-100 pages were cut, this would make a great short story.

This was a book that was laying around so I picked it up to give it a try. It is quick and quirky but didn’t make the biggest impact. The story line felt like it needed something more

again i didn’t want it to end because i loved the characters. patrick dewitt knows how to write a good story!!!

A dysfunctional family made up of a wealthy widow and her adult son flee New York after they've spent all their money. Darkly comic, witty, absurd. I'm trying to read mostly humorous things these days. CW suicide but mostly there is hilarity.
