Not my favorite Bridgerton, but it was okay. I have read it in prep for future Bridgerton shows, but I don’t think I’d reread. It’s hard to get over him wanting her to be his mistress, and I get the stigma over her own parentage in that time. Sophie did well to stand up for herself, and I like that Violet was looking out for her.

While I still enjoyed this and will definitely finish the series, Benedict’s character is hard to love. I can see why he isn’t a favorite among fans. He can be a total jerk at times but I truly love Sophia. She is a beautiful character and I love her strength. She brings out the best in Benedict for sure!
This begins as a little bit of a Cinderella story and I loved that. I do think so much could have been solved if we had just FREAKING TALKED. 🤣
The ending was amazing. I ADORE Violet Bridgerton and she is a FANTASTIC woman. I want more of her background with her husband.

I would have rated this five stars, but there was quite a bit of violence for a period romance.
