Look, it’s not a perfect book. But, in a way, isn’t it? I think it kind of is.
mysterious fast-paced
mysterious tense fast-paced

This was a lot of fun, very dated, and less of a mystery but more of a cozy read. Kind of like stepping into a strange time machine.

Josiah Crowley promised his estate to loving friends and family upon his death, but no one knows where he placed his will. Nancy Drew is on the case in The Secret of the Old Clock.

A story with an interesting history, it’s clear that many conventions in mysteries for young readers originated here.

The one that started it all <3

It was great to read some Nancy Drew. I loved these books so much and it felt great to reread the first.

Spoiler Nancy comes across a van almost hitting a little girl. She rescues the little girl. As Nancy helps the little girl, she talks to her great aunts. Nancy finds out that the ladies were supposed to receive some money from a will, but did not. Also, the ladies find out that the guys that stopped by stole from them. Nancy begins to solve the mystery of the hidden will. She goes to family members and friends collecting clues. She finally reaches the place where she believes thw will is hidden, but comes across the thieves from before. They lock Nancy up and thankfully the housekeeper comes across Nancy. Nancy follows the thieves ans finds the clock that she has been looking for. Is the will there? <\spoiler>
