It's ten myths about Israel, of course. The myths which sustain Zionist ideology and which are used to legitimise the occupation of Palestinian lands are undone by Pappé. A good book to refer back to when arguing with Zionists or sympathisers, who are sure to use more than one of the myths.

Essential reading to learn more about the occupation and genocide of Palestinians, as well as to disengage from the prevalent myths that cause people to offer support for Israel. If anybody in your life is on the fence and just needs to learn more, I think this would be a great introductory resource.
I think the arguments here could have been fleshed out a bit more clearly, specifically about Israel's relation to democracy, but this is a great primer for folks to learn about the ethnic cleansing of Palestine and creation of the occupying Jewish state. I feel like I say that about a lot of the books I've been reading on Palestine, and it just goes to show that there is no shortage of accessible resources on the history of the region that are not dense academic texts with hundreds of pages. I'm down to read Ilan Pappe any time. He is very clearly anti-Zionist, though his reflections on Hamas in other works made me hesitate just a little bit. He rightfully reshapes the perception of the groups efforts from terrorism to liberation in this book though, and it's refreshing for someone to write so precisely about that.
