This book was hard to rate. I find that a lot of books are good at the beginning and end, but the middle falls flat. However, this book is the exact opposite of that. The beginning was hard to get into. The end was dull and way too drawn out. Whereas the middle was quite good. It had excitement, adventure and kept me interested, but it couldn't take away my dislike for the difficult beginning and the tantalizingly boring ending. Also, for me, there were way too many characters. I couldn't keep them straight and I'm still not sure who everyone is.

This is a sort of fun tag along to the Star Wars Old Republic game. I got about what I expected out of this. It's a decent star wars story that gets really really loose about three quarters of the way through. It does rely some on you having extra star wars knowledge that you may not possess if you are totally unfamiliar with old republic stuff.

Could not finish the book. I was six hours into the audiobook version and still did not care about anyone or anything happening in the story.

The presence of Jedi and Sith does not make a Star Wars story inherently interesting.
