4.38 AVERAGE

The 17-year old youth is a freakin' psychopath who is bored out his mind! Drop a Death Note with the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it, and this smart, ambitious teenager proceeds to rid the world of as many criminals as possible, becoming one himself while managing not to get caught. Not at all frightening, right? Oh, if you could only see my face while I was reading this.

I enjoy a good cat and mouse game. It's dark, twisted, and utterly genius. It's like we've dropped Sherlock & Moriarty into modern day Japan and gave Moriarty the power of a death god. Speaking of death gods, Ryuk is the definition of chaotic neutral. He's just here to watch these two destroy themselves. I would have loved to see more of Naomi Misora's involvement in the investigation, but alas.

Incredible! The story is so twisted it just makes you wanna read more and more, excited to pick up the volume two from my bookshelf:)

I haven't read a manga in so long, and omg this one did not disappoint. The suspense and tension was practically melting off of the pages; I was on the edge of my seat!

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT CAN HE JUST DIE ALREADY

This review is for the whole series.

I've loved this series for years. Long long ago I've read it and now I finally collected all the volumes and read them. The first 3 and a half volumes are amazing. The author's brain is amazing for creating the mental game between two geniuses. This series will forever hold a special place in my heart. But the last 2 and a half volumes felt more like a side story and were less interesting.

I really enjoyed this can’t wait to start the next bind up.
