Volume 1 took off at a breakneck speed I couldn’t see where the other 11 volumes were going to go or cover.
Volume 2 set the tone of cat and mouse investigator vs killer which is a far less interesting storyline to me personally. If that’s the whole series concept, I’m not sure I’ll finish it, as The Hunt for each other is not my favorite.
I did love how quickly Light straight up became the villain. Not very many POVs take that on.

Thoroughly enjoyed it but this is a book for teenage boys.

I started this and it almost made me late for an event because I kept saying "one more chapter". Then, I got home from said event and finished it.
This was my first manga, so, I have no idea how to review manga other than I loved it and need the next volume.

I really liked this! It's an entertaining premise, the characters are interesting and I like the artwork. Despite having never watched the show, I vaguely knew what the Death Note was and it's interesting how many rules there are for how it works.
Essentially, this is like your typical cat and mouse chase for a serial killer and it's being run by two young men that behave like the type of guys I never wanted to know in high school. It's entertaining watching L try to catch Kira and always being just a step behind. It's a shame I thought Naomi stood a chance of being involved in the chase. I would've liked to see a woman's story start after the man in her life died since so many stories are the reverse of that.
Anyway, I'm interested in reading the next parts!
