I feel like I don't really have a good sense on how to interpret some of the major religous themes in this book, but at the same time they were oddly powerful.

Tricky book to rate, I love the themes and concepts it's going for but the writing style is pretty shabby at points and the prose is very simple, theres also practically zero in depth description of anything so it can be quite hard immerse yourself in the book at points. There's some fun quotable bits however and the last 100 pages are pretty fun. Slaughterhouse 5 is definitely the superior book but Cat's cradle is still appealing if you like the Vonnegut writing style.

"History! Read it and weep."
