3.5 out of 5 Stars. it was an enjoyable and easy read. The concept, set up and character development were all done well. The all too quick ending with really no explanation or resolve brought this down.

Cute story

This book is essentially Karen Kingsbury calling me out by name. As a local bookstore that serves amazing coffee, a love story and God all wrapped into one story is me and how I can only imagine my future love story to be. So of course I loved the book and finished it one sitting, because I needed to know the details of how it all plays out!

The fact that it took place during Christmas just added to the reading experience as did the characters. Who after reading a handful of Kingsbury’s books feel very familiar and like lifelong friends.

All in all I personally found this book to be heartfelt, easy to read and so enjoyable. Can’t wait to read more books by her!

Cheesy but enjoyable. I loved how the people impacted by the bookstore came together.

If you are a Kingsbury fan you will likely enjoy this book. Working at a library I see her titles checked out quite often so when we purchased this one I decided it was time to give it a try.

The story is heartwarming, albeit predictable. It felt more like a movie synopsis when reading it, to me. I also had a difficult time connecting to two of the main characters. However, for a quick holiday read it was not bad.

First time I have read a Christian Novel and I really enjoyed it. The story line was good and I read this book in just a few hours.

I absolutely loved this book! After not reading a lot during the winter break I was eager to dive into another book and this one was beautifully written. I do think they could've had more dialogue between Ryan and Molly after their re-encounter in Franklin. I would defiantly read this novel again, warming and heart touching.

One of the best festive books I’ve read! Couldn’t put it down and finished it in one day. A very well written story about love, and the power of community. Would highly suggest

This was a quick and easy read! I really enjoyed the alternating points of view. It really added a lot to the story! Having multiple story lines going on at once is always so engaging! There was great continuity between each of the POVs, and each event impacted all of the characters involved.

This is yet another story about how an abundance of modestly and carefulness kept two characters from getting together! Considering the intensity of the relationship, I’m surprised they didn’t reach out sooner! Even considering the circumstances.

There is something special about reading this book, because throughout it there is major emphasis on the value of books and how they can change peoples lives. I got to this point where I was reading the book and it felt so special to hold it in my hands. This has inspired me to read more books that can impact my life.

Molly Allen and Ryan Kelly were fixtures at The Bridge during their college years. Charles and Donna thought these kids would be together forever but their relationship falls apart and Molly walks away not realizing they had a rare sort of love she hasn't found since.

Charlie and Donna Barton have run The Bridge, a bookstore, for 30 years providing wonderful books and great conversation and sometimes inspiration. Then a devastating flood sweeps through Franklin, Tennessee and destroyed almost everything in the store. They don't have the money to restore their store or their inventory. Then the bank decides to sell the building offering the Barton's the first chance at purchasing the property. Charlie considers the unthinkable. Then tragedy strikes, and suddenly, everything changes. In the face of desperate brokenness and lost opportunities, could the miracle of a second chance actually unfold?

Dollycas's Thoughts
What a moving and inspirational story. A true story of second chances.

For me Charlie's accident hit me in the heart. As a survivor of a motor vehicle accident myself, an accident I shouldn't have survived, I am proof prayers work and miracles happen. Of course my life is still a struggle and not tied up with a pretty little bow but it stories like this one that give me hope.

It was also interesting reading this book as the East Coast was getting ready for "The Perfect Storm" and writing this review as I am seeing pictures of the devastation. The people effected by this storm will all be needing their own miracles.

This story is well written but be aware it is what I would call a novella. It is a very quick read. Be sure to have the tissues ready, you will need them.
