Ahh Junji Ito my quarantine favorite.
Hellstar Remina is more of a short story than a book - it's a quick read that revolves around the titular Remina - both girl and planet. Remina spends a fair amount of the book screaming and weeping but what else ya gonna do at the end of the world honestly?
Despite being a cosmic horror story, the ending is hopeful/postive, which is a nice change for the genre. The art is gorgeous. The science is SO bad it's hilarious. Like WE SEE HOW BIG REMINA IS COMPARED TO THE EARTH, ITO. IT'S NOT BIG ENOUGH TO EAT JUPITER!!!! IT'S SMALLER THAN JUPITER!!! But anyway. Fun little read.
