Last of the FEAR agents, humans trained to fight alien threat gets in the middle of troubles when he witnesses aliens launching horrible creatures (bio-weapons) to Earth. By attempting to stop them he ends up in a completely unexpected place - and question is whether or not he stays alive (I am currently waiting on vol 2 to see how this goes :) )
Art is very much like it came from the 2000AD, somewhat cartoonish but very dynamic.
Recommended for fans of swashbuckling, hard-drinking and hard-fighting SF :)

Fear Agent is a pulpy space adventure. We are following Heath Huston, an adventurer from Earth trying to exterminate extraterrestrials while drinking and being a general scoundrel. A good, fun adventure.

Fear Agent was a blast! A light-hearted and fun sci-fi adventure with scary/cool aliens, time travel, and a likeable leading man.

This was fun. A sci-fi tale with huge stakes and compelling character from the first few pages. Great world building, and a universe I want to explore more of. Couldn't put this down! And Tony Moore's art? A++
Remender can do no wrong. I can't wait to check out more of this.

This is some trite, sexist storytelling. Our hero: big, dumb, condescending brute - but somehow we're supposed to find him charming. Our heroine: smart, sexy - but ultimately clueless snowflake in constant need of repeated rescuing.
Yuck, gave up on book 2 at the "that's great buttermilk but we gotta get outta here" line.
Artwork decent, some intriguing aliens and plot, buried under heaping piles of dreck.

A solid start to the series. Huston's an interesting, horribly flawed protagonist, but one I can't help but find myself be drawn to. Also, Moore's art is gorgeous.

I found the main character annoying. His character is brash and a bit sexist, but the storyline was interesting and I found I wanted to keep reading regardless of that. The secondary character Mara is posed as a bit of a damsel in distress and this also annoyed me. The artwork was good. As a whole I enjoyed this graphic novel and I think I will read the further volumes.
I would give 3 1/2 stars if this was possible on goodreads.

This is a fun, pulpy, action-packed space romp, exactly the of thing that Remender seems to do well. Remender, in my mind, is the guy that can take something standard in the genre and put a new spin on it. However, at least in this first trade, Fear Agent seems like standard pulp sci-fi with a familiar scruffy irreverent protagonist with tragedy in his past. The other reason I probably didn't enjoy this more was because I'm not a huge fan of monkey or giant brain aliens. It's still fun, and when I'm in the mood, I'll probably read more.

Two words: RAY GUNS.
Originally gave this two stars, but after re-reading, it earned that 5th. I'm so proud of you, buddy.
