I thought this was fine. I enjoyed parts of it, but other parts dragged as a little boring. I don’t know that it’s one that’ll stick with me.

A lacklustre Jane Eyre

(3.75-4) I did enjoy it! It was just, like another review said, exceedingly, irrevocably, oozingly Christian and because Agnes is such a holy joe (nout wrong with that if it makes her happy) she can be a little self-righteous at times, but I suppose she is within the fiction a bit of a spoiled child at the start, so it makes a bit of sense. Even so, still enjoyable and effectively written! Counter-acts any possible delusions of Mary Poppins-dom in my head, if there ever were any.

what timing, personally a little on the nose.

given it's topic it was imperative for the time. and considering how much I related to Agnes it shows how timeless the piece is and how it deserves to be the classic it is.
