This book is a rather pointless mushy tearjerker. The writing is not bad, but the story had very little to recommend it. I don't know what the author intended to accomplish, but pretty much every aspect of this book that I could discern ended up not working for me. I did not understand the choices the characters made, nor did I see any evidence of the feelings they were professing, and the story itself didn't quite go anywhere either. I am giving it 2 stars mostly on the merit of the writing style. However, I am not sure the writing style alone is strong enough to tempt me into reading other books by this author, which is a pity - I had high hopes.

How dare you. HOW—okay maybe it’s my fault for not reading the back cover but?? It looks like a cute Christmas book, but HE DIES. It’s Christmas Eve, and I thought, oh pick up the cute Christmas book, but HE DIES. And now I’m crying. On Jesus’s birthday. :(

a bit of a slow start, but it all came together well. was not emotionally prepared for the ending at all

I can't even....
Worst book of January for me
I don't even want to talk about it....

I was suggested this book as being a 'tear jerker' and I spent most of the book completely ignorant of what I presume is the main 'tear jerker' moment. Personally, it didn't get me there, but this is a sad yet sweet romance novel that's worthy of a read / listen (whatever takes your fancy).

The book was enjoyable to a certain level, but it definitely didn't do much for me. I didn't feel connected with the characters. Also, the plottwist at the end made me so mad.
I thought this was supposed to be a romance book, but the only romantic part was at the beginning and then it became a dance of two people who loved eachother and wanted to see eachother but never did something with it and then the romance never happend. I thought the writer put little to none foreshadowing in the story and just dropped a bomb at the end of the book. Wouldn't recommend it to people I know.

This was not gonna lie a little slow and boring at the beginning but it should not stop you from picking this up. I loved this book so much and the same thing ending is so heartbreaking it literally took be a couple days to process. Read it read it read it. Perfect book to read in December <3
