NYT Notable Books 2020: 16/100

This book was more Tomorrow, When the War Began than Lord of the Flies , but at times it felt like it was missing something. Maybe there's more deeper, biblical meaning that went over my head, but it seems like plot elements just kind of appeared and disappeared without a whole lot of explanation. The premise was solid and Eve was a good narrator - I appreciated how the story was told, I just wish there had been a bit more to it.

Some interesting parts but my attention kept wandering. Cool concept.

“A children’s bible” by Lydia Millet is another book about the apocalypse, but this take is fresh in so many ways. A great take on the clash of generations.
