Highly recommend. It delivers on the title with a lot of pragmatism, humor, and musings on the directions AI could take, depending on how humans engage with and shape it. There are a lot of unknowns, which Mollick takes on with appropriate even-handedness and human concern. Altogether, a really great primer on the emerging and rapidly developing phenomenon of AI and what it means for us humans. I think it's an essential perspective, regardless of your views on AI, because it helps map out what it is, what it isn't, what we know, what we don't, and what we can and should do--primarily along the lines of educating ourselves about the situation and having a robust societal conversation about it. Which this book will help to do.

Quick read, not too long, very much to the point.
