Felt a bit like a copy and paste, but still enjoyed the story.

Oh, for Pete's sake. Jumped ship after the first 45 minutes of the audiobook.

Reminds me of if someone tried to crib snow crash while using bad exposition under the influence of minor head trauma.

I don't abandon many books... but this isn't worth any more of my time, even for mockery. Someone may like this stuff, but I find it to be just not only unreadable, but unlistenable. Not only is the story both boring and tiresome, but even the sentence structure and flow is tedious.

Not as good as the first one, it was basically the same formula. Kinda like if the Davinci Code was autistic. (No shade to ASD).

Way too much exposition, character arcs that didn’t follow any logical progression, scenes that dragged on and on repeating the same few ideas said seventeen different ways. The story would have been fun, but it needed much more editing and paring down.

Again, mixed feelings. Interesting sequel, but found myself truly annoyed at Wade, at several points wondering why I ever liked the character. Same as the first, as a product of the 80s, enjoyed all the references. Would have loved a different homage to Prince, but happy that was a good part of the story. Disappointed there wasn't more about the Doctor, but hey, can't win everything.

This felt like pandering - like he wrote it to be a movie. I just couldn’t dig it.

It should have been a book about Samantha, tbh. She’s a way better character & then if we followed her POV - we could have skipped that whole Prince planet nonsense (I love Prince - but this almost made me not).
