I have learned to be suspicious of sequels that are written far after the original. However, in this case, that suspicion was unjustified. I loved this book. 5/5. Thank you, Ernest Cline.

I didn't hate it. I feel like all of the detailed explanations of what happened in the first book were unnecessary and drew away from the story. I also think that the Prince scene and the Middle Earth scene were just too long and detailed.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book going into this book and I’m still not sure how I feel coming out of it, whilst on one hand I got irritated with the long rambling descriptions of every minutiae of the scenes as they took place, and I found myself skim reading large sections I also boshed it out very quickly and can’t say I didn’t enjoy it. I did very much enjoy listening along with the relevant music as I read. I didn’t feel it carried on that well from the first book, although having watched the film several times between reading the two books maybe I have just lost track a bit. I think the cut and thrust of it was; I enjoyed the characters and their interactions, I didn’t necessarily enjoy the plot.

Un libro que leí hace tiempo. No sé si llega a lo que fue el primero pero sigue teniendo un toque. En sí la estructura es prácticamente la misma con desafíos de la primera aunque la trama ha cambiado. Pese a todo, en verdad termina siendo una excusa para explorar lugares de la cultura pop como sucede con el primero. Es disfrutable pero tampoco es lo mejor que leerás.
