I normally love this author’s books and to be fair I did enjoy this story but there was a nasty fattest undercurrent that really put me off. Quotes like this -‘Amy would be able to eat the entire picnic , Tash was sure. But like a lot of chubby women, she was too self conscious to eat too much in public. Tash knew the signs. She’d been like it once.’ - made me dislike the main character, the underlying idea that you can’t possibly have a wonderful life until you lose weight really rankled. I mean ‘chubby women’? Generalising much?!

Really enjoyed this book. The storyline wasn’t terribly original but I thought it was cool how Tash’s life (the protagonist) had similarities to the book they were reading for their book club - in the book. I really liked the characters and felt they were loveable (except the one character I loved to hate). I liked the way that Tash developed and how badass she turned out to be. My heart broke around 3/4 in (no spoilers) but I think that speaks to the fantastic writing style of the author. Would definitely recommend with a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for a fun and easy read.

This is the first Georgia Hill book I have read.  I enjoyed it and would recommend this author as an easy sweet and light read – perfect for the beach - with a shaded undercurrent running through it. This is the first of four in ‘The Little Book Café’ series and tells of Tash’s story while introducing the other locals which I am sure will feature in the rest of the series.

I found the story a bit predictable and the first half is a bit repetitive however the book as a whole captivates the reader as the story progresses.

I will be reading the rest of the series and also look out for other Georgia Hill books for my next holiday read.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Impulse for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This is the first book in the series and was a really great read. It was a really good little read and is Tasha's story on the outside it looks like she has a perfect life but she just is not feeling it anymore. This was a good read and I am looking forward to reading the next one

This book is wonderful in its genre!

To be honest, at the start I really did not like Tash. How could she so easily give up (time with) her friends and family for that douchebag Adrian? Why so snappish and mean all the time? As the story evolved, I began to root for her. It became clear how thick the web was in which Adrian had caught her unawares, how slowly he had seeped his poison into her head - literally as well as figuratively.

The combination with the book club was also something I enjoyed. Especially since they made the link between a present-day situation of manipulative love and Wuthering Heights, in a way I had not looked at that book before. So this book made me think about that one in another light, which will be a great hook next time I read that.

I received a free copy through Netgalley in return for an honest review.

I adored this book. I didn't expect it to touch my heart and touch on serious subjects like domestic violence but it really got to me. The novel was told so well. The development of Tash was so well done. Tash liked money. She worked hard at her job as an estate manager and loved coming home to her boyfriend Adrian who fired on her constantly and took exquisite care of her.

Her boyfriend Adrian is wonderful, and adores her, but has become a bit clingy of late. So when she is introduced to new local farmer Kit, with his scruffy beard and low-key look, its’s a breath of fresh air to chat to someone so un-Adrian. Maybe this book club idea could be fun after all!

But when Tash starts forgetting things and behaving oddly, over-protective Adrian is determined to keep her from her new interest which makes Tash even more determined to go.

This novel was fast paced, well written and perfectly delivered. I hope many readers pick this book up. It is a story that deserves to be read ALOT.

Tash is in a relationship with Adrian, but she's beginning to think that it's not working out for her. Sure, to outsiders she might seem to have everything, but deep down she's not happy. She joins a book club in a newly opened bookshop cafe where she meets Kit, who she makes friends with.

This book is not a cosy read, it has dark moments and explores domestic violence, manipulative relationships and gaslighting, but it also has camaraderie, hope and a happy ending. It's well written, but a slightly uncomfortable read. The characters are complex, and even Tash has a dark, slightly unpleasant side at times, but for me, this added to the realism and made me want to know more.

This novel is the first in a trilogy set in the seaside town of Berecombe, I can't wait to read the next two.

I received a free copy of this book in return for a review.

Tash has the perfect life, at least it appears that way from the outside! She has a good job, amazing house and a boyfriend who loves her. Tash cannot help feeling like something isn't quite right though, and this is confirmed when she meets Kit at a book club. Can Tash realise what is wrong with her life, and can she discover what and who it is she really wants?

This was a quick and enjoyable read for me. Tash was a likeable character, and her boyfriend Adrian, was incredible well written. I had an instant opinion on him, which as it turns out, was well justified. I found myself rooting for Tash and her friends, and I absolutely adore Kit, not to mention Biddy, who turned out to be a rather helpful side character. I cannot wait to dive into the next book, which is all about Emma!

Thank you to the author and publisher for approving me for a complimentary NetGalley ebook copy of Tash's Story. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

The Little Book Cafe, Part I , is the story of Tash, she manages the local estate realtor office in this quaint beachside town, has a boyfriend who owns a fancy house and a fancy car and spoils her with fancy presents and it looks like she has the beginning of a perfect life. As we all know sometimes things are not as they appear and as Tash starts to sort out some issue she has been struggling she starts making changes, and as she does she is hoping they are for the better.

A quick enjoyable read about a small close knit town and the people that live there, this book focuses on Tash but you get to know many other characters all very enjoyable!
