Austin and Malcolm's romance was sugary sweet, and despite its sometimes heavy themes, I thought the overall tone remained positive from start to finish.

I was honestly surprised by how much the doctor/patient relationship weirded me out in the beginning. I usually have no problem looking past the power dynamic to see the love two people have for each other, but something was different about Austin and Malcolm. I don't know if it was the extent of Austin's innocence or if it was because of how long-term their doctor/patient relationship had been, but I felt off for a good chunk of the story. Austin's shining happiness won me over eventually, as did the way his and Malcolm's relationship progressed from awkward to devoted. Austin was such a sweetheart, and he deserved someone in his life who would care for him and dote on him the way that Malcolm did, even if he was such a worrywart at times. In general, I had a harder time connecting with Malcolm than I did Austin, both because he shielded his emotions more and because of how over-the-top his worrying sometimes got. The one thing I never doubted is that these two were committed to each other--time and time again Malcolm and Austin showed me that they wanted to be there for each other, to care for each other in all the big and little ways, and spend their lives together. How could I not get on board with their romance when the happiness and contentment they radiated practically smacked me in the face?

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

This is really bad - from the "taboo" relationship being an age gap doctor/patient (not just "doctor" but ONCOLOGIST for a THEN-TEEN WITH CANCER) to the really terrible insta-love on page even though they've known each other for years, it was not a good read. The narration is FLAWLESS, I love Iggy Toma. There was no saving the actual book though. I think this author would do very well in the fanfic world - if these were characters I already knew, I would be so much more invested in the storyline and more forgiving of some of the fast-paced plotlines

Also there's a line about 'I kissed him again, unfurling my tongue in his mouth' and I'll probably never recover from that terrible image

I always try to not judge a book by its cover (or title), but such judgement would appear to be quite accurate in this case.
I mean, does this cover and title look silly and trashy? Yes. Is the content also silly and trashy? Yup. Pretty much.

It’s important to not expect too much from this one. It’s an easy read with absolutely zero conflict and almost no depth. It’s very insta-love and there isn’t a lot of chemistry or development between the MCs.

I wouldn’t really recommend this book, but I can see some people enjoying this if they’re in the right mood for fluff and simplicity.

This was a really great book by an author I love to read. I loved the characters and how they acted with each other, the chemistry was there from the beginning. It is a very low angst book with a very caring daddy and a sweet boy, they also have an age gap to their relationship. I recommend this wonderfully written book.

Hoopla Anythink - I really liked this one. Loved that Iggy Toma narrated & I’ll be listening to the remaining 2 books on audiobooks available via my library. Thought the daddy kink was done really well & wasn’t forced which can be icky. Definite reread for sure!!

Full review to come tomorrow because I stayed up way too late to finish this book. It’s no secret that I love daddy kink books but that i’ve been struggling to find some that work for me lately, but good news is this one really worked for me. This is a low angst and fluffy daddy kink book. There isn’t much happening but there was enough conflicts coming from the plot that it alsays kept me engaged. I went into this book wanting a sweet, low angst daddy kink book with a whole lot of fluff and insta love, which is exactly what I got, which is why I really enjoyed reading this book and it was all I wanted it to be.

I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review.

3.5 Stars Rounded Up

I enjoyed reading this book for the most part. It was a quick read and I finished it within a few hours. It had a good plot and the story flowed well for the most part. This was a good quick read with pretty well developed characters - I think that Austin was a more rounded character than Malcolm, but it was a short story. The medical situations seemed well handled and seemed to mirror what reality might look like.

I have a couple of sort of spoilers that were my issues... and if you want to know what they are, please click here:

A cute, low-angst, age gap romance. This was a heartwarming read with two very likable MCs. Austin is a super sweet sunshine character to Dr. Greer’s not grumpy per se but more less overtly cheerful Daddy personality. I like the way the ‘forbidden’ aspect of their relationship is handled and how they adjust to being boyfriends instead of doctor and patient. Some plot twists weren’t terribly original, but it still made for a heartwarming and enjoyable feel-good read. Great worldbuilding and well-written secondary characters.
